Located in the retail level of the Yellow Pages building, 604 Great South Road; Greenlane, we provide a warm and friendly atmosphere with specialist practitioners and instructors who are highly skilled in diagnosing and treating acute and chronic injuries;

We are focused on restoring and ultimately maintaining your optimum health and wellness, reducing your risk of future injury and enhancing your sports performance – creating the best version of you. We offer a range of services including physiotherapy, podiatry, acupuncture, pilates, yoga, movement and performance screens, and exercise rehabilitation.

If appropriate, we will refer you for imaging and specialist review, liaising with only the top orthopaedic surgeons, sports physicians and pain specialists in Auckland.

Our team is highly experienced in treating a variety of injuries and conditions.  We are post graduate trained including McKenzie MDT certified, functional movement systems (FMS and SFMA) certified and are experts in the field of exercise prescription and performance.

Gemma Monachino

(Wellness wonder woman)

Gemma Monachino (Physiotherapist Acupuncturist) is a senior therapist and co-owner of Evolve Integrated Health Specialists. Gemma has over 20 years’ experience in the exercise rehab/health and fitness industry working with Olympic medalists, World champions, weekend warriors and special needs populations in Canada, the United States and New Zealand. She is trained in SFMA (Selective Functional Movement Assessment), FMS (Functional Movement Screening) and YBT (Y-Balance test). She is one of a few fully credentialed Mckenzie clinicians in Auckland and is also trained in the Mulligans technique. She has presented at Fitness Conferences and has also developed and led Group Fitness instructor and Personal Trainer training programmes.

Amy Schischk

Physiotherapist

Amy gained her BHSc (Physiotherapy) at AUT. She has worked in the musculoskeletal field, and developed a strong interest in diagnostics, biomechanics as well as sports-specific and surgical rehabilitation.

Since finishing university Amy has carried out postgraduate training in Dry needling and is a Certified Mulligan Practitioner. She hopes to further her studies in biomechanics and nutrition, in the near future.

Outside of work, Amy is a competitive horse rider, enjoys keeping fit at the gym, and is a keen foodie as well as loving a drop of wine. She also coaches young riders at her local pony club and enjoys helping people in any way she can.

Kimora Grey

Physiotherapist

Kimiora (Kimi) Grey is originally from Nelson and grew up dancing and playing netball.  After graduating college, she went on to study a three-year full time course in contemporary dance at the prestigious New Zealand School of Dance in Wellington.  She sustained a knee injury in her final year and was unable to continue dance as a professional career so she moved to Auckland to pursue Physiotherapy at The Auckland University of Technology.  She graduated with a BHSc (Physiotherapy) and was also presented with ‘best’ clinical student.  Her experience includes working with the Warriors Rehab cup team and The Kiwi ferns. Kimi enjoys Pilates, Yoga and running to keep fit and also enjoys tramping trips around New Zealand.  Kimi hopes to incorporate her knowledge of dance with Pilates, yoga, and Physiotherapy to provide a unique rehabilitation experience for her patients and clients.

Gamu Kudzotsa

Physiotherapist

Gamu Kudzotsa is a Physiotherapist (Otago Graduate) and a clinical Pilates instructor with a certificate in Dry Needling, SFMA (Selective Functional Movement Assessment) and FMS (Functional Movement Assessment/Screening).

She is also trained in the Lumbar spine (Part A) McKenzie Diagnosis and Treatment. Her greatest passion is helping people and making a difference in their lives. She is quite active and enjoys sports especially Basketball.

While back in her home country (Zimbabwe) she represented her country at the national level in Women’s Basketball in 2006-07. She has also represented Wellington at the national basketball championships.

Apart from Health, Wellbeing and Sports, Gamu is also passionate about travelling and experiencing new cultures. Outside of work, she really enjoys keeping fit through swimming, running, gym and hiking.

Tareeza Whitehouse

Pilates Instructor

Tareeza is a Pilates and fitness instructor. She has a Diploma in massage therapy and teaches Ceroc dancing in which she has held both national and international competition titles. She has also travelled extensively and enjoyed the vibrancy and diversity of many cultures and countries.

Hannah Lawrence-Marshall

Pilates Instructor

Hannah is a runner at heart, loving the simplicity yet challenging nature of the sport. She spent 5 years competing and training in Gunnison Colorado, USA. Initially this move was for an athletic scholarship to WSU. Following graduation she continued to compete at an elite post collegiate road and track racing until picking up an injury which forced her to give the running up. It was her determination and extensive cross-training during rehabilitation from this injury where she picked up cycling and swimming. Naturally, triathlons and half-marathons were to follow. Hannah quickly learnt the ropes as an age grouper, winning numerous national titles all the time wanting to be back in international competition. Hannahs’ classes are both technical and challenging. Her classes are fun and suit all levels.

Pasquale Monachino is co-director of Evolve Integrated Health Specialists. You will generally find Pasquale at the reception area taking care of the day to day and behind the scenes non-clinical duties of the clinic.

Suitable for beginners, Essential Reformer is a gently-paced class that focuses on the foundations of pilates.  You will receive clear instruction and guidance and leave feeling energised, stretched and relaxed.

Vinyasa Flow

A challenging, flowing class incorporating vinyasa to link a series of poses into a full and challenging practice.The character of each class is unique to individual instructors, and pose variations are offered for increased or decreased challenge. Guaranteed zen!

Yin Mix

Yin Mix classes incorporate a yin yoga practice with vinyasa asanas.
Poses are held for a long time to apply moderate stress to the connective tissues of the body, the tendons, fascia and ligaments with the aim of increasing circulation in the joints and improving flexibility.
In addition to the yin practice will be some pranayama (breath control) meditation.

Hatha

Hatha yoga refers to a set of physical exercises (known as asanas or postures), and sequences of asanas, designed to align your skin, muscles, and bones.
The postures are also designed to open the many channels of the body,especially the main channel, the spine, so that energy can flow freely.
